Marriage Licenses

v      File for the license in the town where the bride is a resident

v      There is a 72 hours waiting period from the time you make the application for the marriage license until the time you can pick up the license.

v      The bride, groom and a witness (must be over the age of 18) must come to the Registrar's Office to complete the marriage application.

v      Birth certificates are required for proof of age. If you do not have a copy of your birth certificate, two (2) other forms of ID that have your birth date are required. They include

v      Drivers License

v      Passport

v      Baptism Paper

v      Non – Drivers License Photo ID

v      If either the bride or groom, or both, are divorced, a copy of the Final Decree For Divorce signed by the Judge, must be brought to show the registrar.

v      If either the bride or groom, or both, are a widow or widower, a copy of the death certificate must be presented to the registrar.

v      Any person under the age of 18 needs parental consent papers signed by both parents. If under the age of 16, parental papers and a form signed by a judge are required.

v      The date, location and person performing the wedding are all needed to complete the application.

 

The cost for a marriage license is $28.00. You must apply in person to the Registrar's Office located at :-

 All Vital Statistics records are kept where the event occurred. Births, deaths or marriages which happened within the borders of Fairfield Township are kept on file at the Municipal Clerk’s Office.

Death Certificate

Copies of Marriage Licenses

v      Name of the child

v      Date of birth

v      $5.00 per copy

v      Death Certificate

v      Name of the deceased

v      Date of death

v      Place of Death

v      $5.00 per copy

v      Marriage License

v      Bride’s maiden name

v      Groom’s surname

v      Date of marriage

v      $5.00 per copy
